Private Lesson
I had scheduled a private lesson with Claudia way before Riot got sick. Since I wasn’t going to have both of them to work, we cut it down to 30 minutes (Cisco doesn’t do well with any longer).
We ran two fairly challenging courses. Cisco did really well especially since I’ve been lax on his training — I hadn’t signed him up for classes this session or last and the one trial he was entered in this summer was the weekend Riot got sick, so he didn’t get to go. His contacts were really good and his weaves were good two.
Our takeaways:
- I cannot make the slightest motion towards a toy while he’s in the weaves — it pulls him out
- We need to work on transferring from obstacle focus to handler focus back to obstacle focus. We had a tunnel, jump, weave sequence that we just not get. I was in the wrong place or if I was in the right place, Cisco attention was never really transferred to me to get the weaves lined up properly so he was missing his entrances.
